Here we go again! :D

I enjoyed participating in GameDev.tv's game jam last year so much I decided todo it again thisyear!

The theme: "Life in 2 Dimensions".

I had so many ideas, but only a few that I could do within the time limit. And since I expect a large number of entries will be Tamagochi based, I decided to use a different idea.

Mr.Gen is a Manic Miner / Jet Set Willy inspired 2d platformer themed around the 2D life of Mr.Gen.  So, rather than dodge baddies, and collect points, I went for a more "The Sims" inspired health management system.  I am hoping it pays off.

This time around though I have made all the assets myself (I know, hard to believe looking at the fantastic artwork displayed in the screen shot isn't it?). With such a simple graphical design it seemed safe enough. It does mean that there's still a lot more graphics to create than there are scripts to write.

I hope I finish in time.

Interesting. Your game is like a true retro. And youn speak about some retro title. Manic Miner... i never played it, speaking the true. But i like retro games, as idea.

Yes, you are right... Many ideas..and only few can go to release. This is cause, i think, humans, all over the world are stupid monkeys...And they are not computers or cyborgs...and if to be a cyborg then you can make all your ideas real in code!

Good retro game! 80s, man!
